The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in power within the city.

Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of heroes who will separate from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could assist the party enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and Wicander defied the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This means them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Explorers and Planners tables.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on next week.
